Inspiring children to succeed is at the heart of Royal Ascot Cricket Club. Hundreds learning cricket every week, at the club and in our schools’ coaching programme, supporting each other – that’s progressive cricket that’s been at the heart of our community since 1883. Our main pitch is in the heart of the picturesque Royal Ascot Racecourse. Boys and girls from U5 through to U15, of all abilities, are encouraged to come down and join in the fun.

Currently we run age Groups from U7s through to U17s. We play in both Surrey Junior Cricket Championships and the Berkshire Youth Cricket League. We enter both of these competitions to ensure that our children have lots of opportunity to play as much cricket as possible. We also enter leagues at different levels in various age groups to cater for those who want to play more serious cricket at a higher level but also to cater for those who just want play cricket for fun.

The coaching for all of our Colts is undertaken by professional coaches on Monday and Thursday evenings.

Whilst all of the coaching is delivered by professionals, we still need lots of support from parents to ensure that the matches are organised and run smoothly. Each Age Group needs a Manager to organise the matches and teams and on match day support is also needed to organise the team, as well as umpire, keep score, serve refreshments and collect match fees. The more volunteers that the Colts section has, the easier it is to provide more cricket for the young cricketers.

We welcome anyone who wants to play or just to see if cricket is their game, to come down and meet the team and have a go.
